What a difference 6 feet makes!! The mountains are all skiing great again, the sun is shining bright, and it looks like the last couple months of the ski season are going to be spectacular!
After the storms of last week Tahoe ski areas are reporting anywhere from 4 to 7 feet of new snow! The skiing has been fantastic and the month of March is loaded with great events so come enjoy it up here!
The big event of next week is St Patrick's Day of course but there are others too. One event I would recommend is the Abilities Bash, a fundraiser for Disabled Sports USA Far West. The event takes place Saturday March 14th at the lodge at Alpine Meadows from 7-10:30 PM. The Ability Bash will honor Wounded Warriors returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. For more info visit http://www.disabledsports.net/ or call (530) 582-4161.
Jake's on the Lake is combing the spirit of giving with the St. Patrick's Holiday. Their holiday celebration on the 17th will include discounts, traditional Irish food, charity raffles benefiting Disabled Sports USA, and live music starting at 6pm. For detail call (530) 583-0188.

Hi Jamie,
Hope you are well! We saw that you included the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival on the Tonopalo blog last season and we wanted to provide you with the new dates for this year's productions of 'Much Ado About Nothing' and 'Measure for Measure', July 11 to Aug. 23. Not only is the Festival a perfect place for friends and family to gather - it is also an ideal location for group events! Please let us know if you would like any further details regarding group discounts -what a great way to showcase the area's event offerings!
Best regards,
